Noah Baumbach´s new movie starring Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansson portraying a couple who is divorcing is one of the best movies of 2019 and has some of the best performances in decades.

The thing I like the most about this movie is, obviously, Adam Driver. I believe he is one of the most talented (if not the most talented) actors ever, and in this movie, he makes his best performance ever. Charlie, Driver´s character, is a playwright who loves living in the big city and doing dad stuff, on the other side Nicole, Johansson's character, is an actress who acts in the plays of his husband but wants to make bigger things and live in LA. At first, they want the divorce to be friendly and "happy" for both but as the characters start to hire lawyers and become more competitive when it comes to who their son is staying with and where, as Charlie lives in NY and Nicole in LA, things start to get ugly.

This movie feels like a very realistic movie, all the scenes felt like they were real and the characters too. The script was heart-breaking, especially one scene in which one character is reading a letter another character wrote, the whole movie was really emotional and has some really powerful and raw scenes, like Adam Driver´s monologue (BEST MALE PERFORMANCE OF THE YEAR). The cinematography was really beautiful and the music was also really good.

As I´ve previously said this movie has some really good performances, Scarlett Johanson did an amazing job and Laura Dern is probably gonna take the Oscar home tonight, they were both really good.

I´m very repetitive by saying how good Adam Driver was in this film but I think this movie would not be as brilliant as it is if Adam wasn´t on it, and I think that Adam is the best thing in the movie. He is the main character so he is the one who we emphasize more with, even though we hate him at some points of the movie, also to Scarlet. Joaquin Phoenix is winning the Oscar for sure but it would be really fair (and amazing) tat Adam got it, as for me his acting was better than Phoenix´s acting.

The movie is a very good movie with amazing performances that breaks your heart and absolutely deserves a watch!

10/10
